Layton had a very rough beginning; his mother shot herself when she was eight months pregnant, suffering from very extreme and untreated depression. However, the shot did not kill her instantly, and thankfully the gun shot had alerted someone to call police. They rushed her into the hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after, but an emergency C-section was performed and Layton was able to survive. Not having any other known or living family members, he was put in foster care.

Layton was a very difficult and troubled child who would often misbehave and act violently towards others. He was told about his mother’s suicide by his first foster parent’s child, who would mock him and say that his mother would rather have been dead than have him. This trauma caused him to be emotionally unpredictable and isolated; he transferred from foster home to foster home because his behavior had become too extreme. Therapy had been attempted on him several times, but little progress had been made. In his teen years Layton was involved in heavy drug use and attempted suicide from heroine OD when he was seventeen.

When he turned 18 and was no longer under the care of the state, he moved in with a high school friend who had supplied much of his drugs. The two lived together for two years where he continued to do heavy drugs, drink excessively and sleep around;  he even turned to male prostitution in order to get money for the drugs and rent. At age 20 he attempted suicide again from bleeding out, but fortunately his roommate was able to call paramedics just in time. After that incident, Layton decided to turn his life around and get onto a better road in life. He entered and completed rehab, got a job, and moved into an apartment with Sean (another high school friend) and Roslyn. Layton is clean from heavy drugs, but still smokes cigarettes and weed on a daily basis.

Although born in Louisiana, Roslyn moved out of state when she was 5 years old. Her mother Pamela became pregnant at 17, after she told her boyfriend he ran off and wanted nothing to do with her. Angered with the struggles of being a single mother, Pamela looked at men scornfully and became an active feminist.

When she was in her young adolescence, Roz came to question her orientation greatly. At age 13 she had her first kiss with a girl and began to further explore her sexuality in her teen years. She came out as a lesbian when she was 17 years old, which was supported by her mother and close friends. Roslyn was spared the front of harsh discrimination since she was very liked among her classmates, though she still had her run-ins with ignorant people.

In her current age Roslyn works a dead end job as a waitress, not really certain what profession she would want. Although she isn't scornful towards men like her mother, she isn't above using them to her advantage. She tends to flaunt her sexual appeals (i.e. boobs) in order to get things from saps that fall for her flirting; but she is only a tease. Charlotte lived in Northern Queensland Australia with her father Steven, who she is very close to. Her mother left Steven when Charlotte was shy of three years old to start a new life with another man; there has been zero communication on her half, so Charlotte grew up without a mother figure for most of her life. She looked up to female pop idols as a role model on how to act and dress like a stereotypical girl, filling the gaps that her father couldn’t really provide.


At age 14 she and her father moved to America so he could settle down and marry his long distance girlfriend (the two met while she was vacationing in Queensland and have been dating for a solid seven years, seeing each other in person as much as possible.)  Sergei lived in St. Petersburg Russia with his mother until she passed away from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy when he was seven years old. After her death, he became custody of his godmother/aunt Sofia who lived in America. He moved to the United States and received private teaching until he could grasp the English language. At age ten he attended public school, where his gregarious and friendly personality gave him a lot of friends. In his sophomore year of high school he met Charlotte, a galah who had recently moved from her homeland of Australia. The two became fast friends and eventually dated in their junior year, and continued to date out of high school. Eventually the two married when they were 24, and have been happily married since.



Sergei is a bartender at the gay strip club “Wild Side”, and has befriended many of the employees. He often acts as the elder and gives advice to those who are troubled, making him a very well respected person in the club.

Gerard was born in a high class family, his mother being a pharmacist and his father a successful businessman; but his childhood was far from easy. At age ten he lost his younger brother Joseph and his grandparents to a fatal car crash. This tragedy deeply affected Gerard’s mindset, causing him to be become emotionally detached from everyone, which in turn caused his relationship with his parents to become rather stormy. It has also interfered with his ability to form romantic relationships.



Through high school Gerard was quiet and solitary; he was difficult to talk to and only had a few friends throughout his time in school. Many people assumed because he was wealthy, he was too snobby to talk to anyone, and that assumption stuck well to his reputation. Behind his introverted nature lied a deep and strong sexual urge, which repressed until he was out of high school. After graduating, Gerard became more sociable and comfortable with his sexuality, but still remained distant from most people. Matsoko was born in Yokoshima Japan, and lived there until he was five years old. He moved to America after his parent's divorce, where his mother found comfort in relatives already residing there. He was able to learn English very quickly in public school and caught up to his peers in a short amount of time. Other classmates would often ask what is like living in Japan, though he had difficulty remembering much.



In his freshman year, Matsoko travelled back to Japan for two weeks to reunite with his father and half-sister Aiko. During his time there, he fell in love with his country's culture, and from there wanted to keep his heritage alive and well. He became deeply passionate about modern Japanese rock music, and took up learning the guitar to write his own. Playing guitar became one of his main hobbies, along with cooking traditional meals. He began cooking a few years before his visit to Japan, since he is an incredibly picky eater and only likes the food that he makes.



At 17 he was employed at The Beat, a small music store primary in selling albums and music sheets. He has worked there for six years, over time he became best friends with two other employees, Layton and Mark. During the late spring, he was frequently visited by a young coati. He would come in nearly every day and the two would talk nonstop with each other. He grew quite fond of this repeat customer, and after accidently running into him at the strip club where he worked, the two began a romantic relationship.

Along with playing guitar and cooking, Matsoko is also skilled in Judo martial arts, a hobby he took up after visiting Japan. He still keeps close contact to his half-sister by often talking to her through video chat.

The youngest of three siblings, Cameron's parents had separated before his birth. He grew up with his mother as the main role model, but his father was active in his life until he was about seven, when he passed away from bronchial cancer. After his father's death, the closest male figure he could look up to was his older brother Patrick, who was eight years older than him. He also looked to his sister Kayla as a playmate, since there was only a three year age difference.



Cameron is very sociable and charismatic, and thus was popular in his school years. His sexuality was kept a secret to everyone until he got out of school; this was to prevent harassment from other schoolmates. He had secretly dated a few classmates, though none of them ever told anyone for the sake of facing discrimination themselves. In early middle school he befriended Luke, and the two became very close and reliable friends. Cameron would comfort Luke after his humiliating ordeals in high school because of his sexuality; he was also there for him when Luke confessed the sexual abuse he received from a teacher.



After graduation, Cameron looked to pursue a career in photography, as it was his passion even as a child. He applied to Kajorsky University, a local college that has excelling art majors. In order to pay for expensive equipment and college bills, he took a job as a male stripper for The Wild Side.



Early in his occupation, he met Matsoko at a music store called The Beat. Growing a secret crush on the employee, he visited the store quite often, sometimes not even purchasing anything. The two got along very well, though he was too nervous to ever ask him out. But on one faithful day, Matsoko and several of his friends entered The Wild Side to celebrate his birthday; the two immediately recognized each other, causing Cameron to almost call his performance quits. He still pressed on despite his embarrassment, and was even called over to give him a lap dance. Afterwards, Matsoko asked for a VIP with him, were the two began conversing in a semi jokingly manner. He then said to Cameron that he didn't need to do anything with him if he wasn't comfortable, and that he simply got a private room to talk to him. Not thinking of a better time, Cameron admitted he had liked him for a few months, also quietly muttering he wanted to have sex with him. The two did so, afterwards they began dating. The relationship is open for other sexual partners, but both know that all of their sentiments are only towards each other.
